Our Story
Adventura Medical Staffing was founded in October 2023 by two nurses who believed travel nursing should be more than work; it should be an adventure. Born in British Columbia and operating across Ontario, Adventura was created to make travel nursing fun again while advocating for the well-being of healthcare professionals.
We know firsthand that nursing can lead to burnout. Travel nursing offers the change of scenery, flexibility, and meaningful experiences that reignite a nurse’s passion for the profession. Adventura is about helping nurses rediscover why they started nursing in the first place by giving them the freedom to explore new places, meet new people, and build lasting memories while making a real impact.
For our founder, travel nursing was life-changing: a chance to drive across the country, see provinces that would’ve otherwise remained unknown, and meet people who became lifelong friends. That experience inspired the creation of Adventura, a staffing agency built by nurses, for nurses.
The name Adventura embodies what we stand for: the spirit of exploration, growth, and connection that comes with every assignment. Every placement is not just a job; it’s an opportunity to grow both personally and professionally while helping communities in need.
