Frequently Asked Questions
Have questions about travel nursing?
What should I expect in terms of assignment length?
Assignment durations vary by opportunity. While many healthcare facilities prefer commitments of three months or longer, shorter or extended contracts may also be available depending on operational needs. Before accepting a placement, healthcare professionals can review the expected contract dates and duration to determine whether the opportunity is the right fit for them.
Are travel and accommodation covered?
Travel and housing arrangements are included with our assignments, with the specific details outlined before each contract begins. Depending on the location, Adventura may arrange airfare or reimburse approved driving expenses, including applicable mileage and all travel costs.
Adventura may arrange housing directly, the client may provide it, or, where available, a housing allowance may be offered to healthcare professionals who prefer to secure their own accommodation.

What do I need before applying for a travel contract?
When a health care provider applies through Adventura we will connect with you one on one and generate your professional profile. A common delay we see with individuals wanting to start their next journey is not having an up to date Criminal Record Check with a Vulnerable Sector Check or a TB skin test. Both of which should be within the past 12 months
Is it hard to get a licence to practice nursing from other provinces?
Getting licensed to work as a nurse in another province is a straightforward process — and the Adventura Medical Staffing team is here to support you every step of the way. We’ll guide you through the requirements and ensure you’re ready to go by the time your next assignment begins.
